→ Beef and Vegetables

07 - 1 lb of steak (sirloin or flank), cut into thin pieces
08 - 1 tbsp of soy sauce
09 - 1 tsp of cornstarch
10 - 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
11 - 1 tbsp cooking oil
12 - 1 small onion diced into chunks
13 - 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
14 - 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
15 - 2 minced garlic cloves
16 - 1 green chili, sliced up (optional)
17 - 2 tbsp soy sauce
18 - 1 tbsp oyster sauce
19 - 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional)
20 - 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
21 - 1/4 cup of beef stock or plain water
22 - 1 tsp of cornstarch blended with 1 tbsp water

# Instructions:

01 - Simmer the potato slices in salted boiling water for 5 minutes. Strain them and pat them dry. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high flame and fry them until both sides turn golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Place on paper towels, adding salt, garlic seasoning, and pepper right away.
02 - Combine steak strips with black pepper, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a bowl. Take a hot pan with a bit of cooking oil, then sear the beef pieces until brown, which takes 2-3 minutes. Set it aside for now.
03 - Grab that same pan and toss in the garlic, onions, and chili slices. Let it cook for 1-2 minutes to smell amazing, then pop in the red and green peppers. Let it all sizzle for another couple of minutes.
04 - Whisk together sugar, soy sauce, hoisin and oyster sauces (if you’re using it), and beef broth in a small container. Pour it straight into the pan and mix in the cornstarch-water solution. Add the beef back in and toss everything for a minute or two until coated and shiny.
05 - Serve up the crispy potatoes next to the stir-fried beef that’s all sauced up. This meal brings the crunch, the tang, and the yum—all in one plate!
