Throw the ground beef into a big skillet over medium-high heat. Cook it, stirring occasionally, until it's all browned, which takes about 5 to 7 minutes. Get rid of the grease afterward.

In a big bowl, toss in the cabbage, tomato sauce, onions, uncooked rice, salt, and the cooked beef. Stir until combined.

Spread the mixture into a 9x13-inch pan and pour the beef broth straight over the top.

Cover the dish with something and let it cook in your preheated oven for an hour.

Take off the cover, give the casserole a good stir, then cover it again. Continue baking for another 20 to 30 minutes until the cabbage softens and the rice is fully cooked.
