Heat up a pan, toss in the ground beef, and cook it through. Be sure to drain the grease once it's done.

Put the cooked beef into the base of a slow cooker, making sure it spreads out evenly.

Pour in the pizza sauce and gently mix in the halved pepperoni pieces with the beef.

Set the slow cooker to the lowest heat setting and cook for 3 hours so everything blends together.

Once the 3-hour mark is up, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella across the top of the beef mixture.

Let it cook for another 30 minutes, just until the cheese has completely melted.

Spoon the beef and mozzarella mix onto the rolls. Finish each one with a slice of mozzarella before serving.
